Is Ultherapy safe?

How is Ultherapy PRIME® different from other treatments?

Ultherapy PRIME® is the only non-invasive skin lifting treatment with real-time ultrasound imaging that allows practitioners to assess your skin and deliver a truly personalized treatment with long-lasting, meaningful results. Ultherapy PRIME® also uses time-tested ultrasound technology to stimulate the formation of new collagen deep below the skin’s surface. The treatment takes about 30 to 90 minutes, depending on the area treated, and without any downtime.

PRE & POST CARE

Preoperative Cautions

Consult with your doctor or practitioner to assess suitability for treatment.
If you have had prior treatments in the target area (e.g. fillers, botulinum toxin, laser procedures, or chemical peels), consult your practitioner before proceeding.
Avoid blood-thinning medications and supplements such as aspirin and fish oil for at least 5–7 days prior to treatment to reduce the risk of bruising.
Do not undergo treatment if there are active skin conditions in the treatment area, including open wounds, active acne, or infections.
Maintain good hydration prior to treatment, as well-hydrated skin responds better.
Avoid tanning, excessive sun exposure, chemical peels, and strong exfoliants for one week before the procedure.

Postoperative Cautions & Care

No special downtime is required. Makeup may be applied immediately after treatment.
Mild redness or swelling may occur and usually resolves within a few hours to a few days.
Avoid excessive heat such as hot baths, saunas, and intense workouts for at least 48 hours.
Use gentle skincare products, including mild cleansers and hydrating products. Avoid retinoids, acids, and strong exfoliants for one week.
Apply SPF 50+ sunscreen daily, as the skin may be more sensitive to UV exposure.
Maintain good hydration by drinking plenty of water to support healing and collagen production.
Avoid facial massages or aesthetic treatments such as lasers or microneedling for at least 2 weeks.
Results develop gradually, with full effects appearing over 3–6 months as collagen production increases.
If needed, mild pain relief such as paracetamol (Panadol) may be taken. Avoid ibuprofen immediately after treatment to minimise bruising.
If you experience prolonged swelling, nerve tingling, or unusual pain, contact your practitioner promptly.
